Architectural photography of the WW2 Museum Tirpitz in Blåvand
This series documents the Tirpitz Museum in Blåvand, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and partially embedded in the dune landscape along Denmark’s west coast. The building is conceived as a sequence of underground galleries that integrate with the surrounding terrain, allowing the architecture to remain quiet and respectful of the historic site.
The images are photographed in black and white using an old Linhof Technika large format camera. Working with large format slows the process and places emphasis on structure, material, and spatial relationships, while the absence of color directs attention toward form, contrast, and atmosphere.
